In 1983, Peggy L. Lundberg and Daniel C. Overton based on their various business, security, and military experience decided to start a corporation dedicated to providing better service than we had experienced with "national' security services.

EWING-LUNDBERG and ASSOCIATES, INC. (dba E.L.A. SECURITY, INC.) was incorporated in September 1983 under the laws of the State of Illinois. E.L.A. obtained licenses from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation as a Private Security Contractor Agency and a Private Detective Agency.

From the beginning, our core beliefs included Excellence in all we do, a commitment to strong Leadership within our company and our industry and Accountability to our customers and our own ethics and principals. E.L.A. Security, Inc. continues to grow and prosper by being highly competitive and by focusing on our customers' needs first.

Because of our previous and on-going personal experiences in government, we chose to grow by focusing on State and Federal contracting. Our success in this arena led us to become the largest provider of contract security guard service to the State of Illinois for the past several years. We are now returning to our roots in the private sector. We bring with us the successful experience within this highly competitive sector.

We regularly employ between 325 and 350 security officers and support personnel throughout the State of Illinois. The President and Chief Executive is Daniel C. Overton, who serves as the Agency's Licensee in Charge. Mr. Overton, through Mr. Thompson, the Chief Operating Officer, directs all operations.

E.L.A.'s goal of becoming the premiere privately owned security contractor in the Mid-west is on track. We have worked over twenty years to develop the expertise, management structure and customer base necessary for this purpose. We are well on our way to reaching this goal in quality if not in size. E.L.A. honestly believes that the industry giants could learn valuable lessons from us on quality and customer service.
