E. L. A.'s goal of becoming the premiere, family owned security contractor in the Mid-west is on track. We have worked for twenty years to develop the expertise, management structure and customer base necessary for this purpose. We are well on our way to reaching this goal in quality if not in size. E. L. A. honestly believes that the industry giants could learn valuable lessons from us in the areas of quality, customer service.
3. What is E. L. A.’s mission statement?
- The following goals are what we strive to achieve by providing quality service to every client.
- We must provide a quality product / service; ours is security personnel.
- Our product / service, our employees, must be better than the competition's.
- We are in business to make a profit. If not, none of us will have an income.
- We are in a highly competitive business. As such, we must be able to sell our services at a price our customers can afford or they will choose another contractor. To do this, we must control costs.
- We control our overhead while not scrimping when it comes to training, uniforms, equipment, etc. However, we must not spend money in a frivolous manner. Example: We do not need a Cadillac for a patrol car.
- In order to recruit and retain people who will meet or exceed our performance standards, we must provide a good wage and benefits for our employees.
- We must provide a work environment that minimizes the day-to-day hassles for our employees while correcting or eliminating those employees who are unwilling to "pull their own weight."
- Lastly, we must have a positive effect on each employee's lifestyle.
4. What does E. L. A. stand for?
- From the beginning, our core beliefs included Excellence in all we do, a commitment
to strong Leadership within our company and our industry and Accountability to our
customers and our own ethics and principals. Therefore, we retained the name E. L. A. Security, Inc.
