Our Security Officers are our most Valuable Asset.
Our business is providing our customers with the quality of personnel equal to or better than
their own proprietary force. This is not an easy task. Knowing this, E.L.A. expends the time,
effort and financial resources necessary to recruit and train the type of personnel our
customers demand. Our standards exceed those in the industry. If an applicant doesn’t meet
or exceed them, she/he won’t wear our uniform.
Initial Training
We invest heavily in our most valuable asset, our security officers. No matter how experienced
a new employee is each officer must complete a minimum of 20 hours of training and orientation
at our corporate offices. Topics such as Principles of Security, Patrolling, First Aid and CPR,
Fire Prevention and Control, Self Defense, and Handling Bomb Threats are some of the issues that
are addressed.
Account Specific Training
Customer Specific Training is tailored to meet the needs of the customer’s industry. The training
covers their specific duties, the potential problems at the work location, and how to handle such
problems. Every officer will be training on-site before assuming any duties at your facility.
Continuous Training
Throughout the year, ELA’s field supervisors and management personnel provide additional training
updates to every security officer. This takes various forms including classroom instruction and
post cross training, training fliers in paychecks and briefings during post inspections.
